
Hi, My name is Colin and Puzzled Counselling is....well its me.
My Therapeutic career began in 2014 and my experience has been varied and wide ranging as I have worked in the private, charitable and also education sectors of Mental Health gaining valuable experience across a broad range of mental health issues.
Much of my early training whilst studying counselling and Integrative psychotherapeutic psychotherapy was completed within the charitable sector, working with charities such as MIND, CALM and Samaritans.
I have also worked within various secondary schools as a School Counsellor and presently work with CAMHS Northampton as a Specialist Mental Health Practitioner from within LAC (Looked After Children)
From within this role I have enhanced training within trauma informed working and attained further qualifications in DDP - Dyadic Developmental Psychotherapy which enables me to work with both parents/carers and the children to help process trauma from within the confines of a secure and stable relationship.
I am a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and therefore work within their Ethical Guidelines and Professional Boundaries. I also hold a current DBS check and I am fully insured.

As a Psychotherapeutic Counsellor I am able to offer an Integrative approach which basically means that I can work across a broad spectrum of therapeutic options picking that which is best suited to you and your individual needs.
I use Person Centred Theory as the main basis of my work which essentially places you, as the client, at the centre of the process, however I am trained in modalities such as: Psychodynamic, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Gestalt, Mindfulness - humanistic therapy
